Keeping Your Business Relevant During Covid-19

Updated: Nov 11, 2020

It’s safe to say that 2020 has been a trying year for everyone for so many reasons. What started it all was Covid-19 in March. As I’m sure all of you know, so many businesses really took a hit when the whole country shut down. It was definitely a rough patch in the year and many people struggled and are still struggling to get back on their feet. The entire world got flipped upside down and we’ve all had to get used to the “new normal” of social distancing, wearing masks, and having meetings on Zoom.

Now more than ever, it is important to stay connected on social media when people are leaning on it to stay in touch with friends and family, consume the news, and be entertained. Social media intake has increased a ton since Covid-19 hit, but just because more people are on social media, doesn’t mean it’s “business as usual”.

Your followers are spending more time online than ever before so this presents you with a unique opportunity to enhance your relationships with your audience. As important as it is to keep your business running on social media during Covid-19, it is also important to be aware of the anxiety people have during this time. You don’t want to pretend like everything is normal because we all know that that is not the case.

Although it is a sensitive time for many, don’t stop posting content. As I mentioned before, now more than ever people are spending a lot of time on social media. So, keep posting and connect with your audience by building a deeper relationship with them. Hang in there, we’re all in this together!
