Somm Select "1750"

Updated: Jan 7, 2021

After ending a Zoom call with Fransisco and Gustavo (Partners of 1750) I found that the progression and growth of 1750 is becoming massive. They informed me of the culture and well-being of Bolivia as a country. Eye opening insight and information and that is difficult to take for granted.

During our call we discussed the politics, health, and economy of their country. This country is filled with loving and caring people, but the government is corrupt. It's difficult to hold these people down as their spirits are so eye and their optimism is strong at will.

Towards the end of our call we discussed the idea of the "Underdog". A bootstrap vineyard making moves from the ground up. How is it possible? How is a small business winery even a questionable and sustainable form of business? It takes millions and an inheritance to keep up with a successful vineyard. Not all of this is true, Fransisco and Gustavo have found strength and success through the passion and love they share for their culture and form of business. In fact, it's more than a business. It's a way of life.

In our final discussion we reviewed an impeccable write up by the well known (Ian Cauble, Master Somm). To read this love story click here: https://www.sommselect.com/product/offer/SOMM2008-1750TANN-750/

We are all so incredibly proud of the moves the 1750 team has been making. To grow as a small business winery is difficult as is, but these folks are hitting all marks and we are incredibly excited to be a part of the process.

Here's a couple of shots from our work done in the United States. We're currently working on something rather special for all other countries, but until then... I'll keep the hype alive.
